PRISMEZ-VOUS / Diversity Corner
PRISMEZ-VOUS/ ESPACE DIVERSITÉ owes its name to a contest, and this proposal was selected because it embodied the spirit of the place and its mission. The person who proposed it intentionally created a verb—and a verb is an action! That action is our mission: No matter our backgrounds, no matter our dreams, we are all on a journey to find ourselves in a society that belongs to us all.
It offers a window into the diversity of LaSalle and features a small meeting room for small groups and mini-workshops, a kitchen area for preparing recipes and hosting cooking workshops, a meeting room that can accommodate groups of 30 to 40 people, and a community gallery that can host visual art exhibitions.
Colorful, welcoming, and multifunctional, it transforms over the months to host small events, themed parties, group meetings, training sessions, talks, lunch-and-talk events, visual art exhibitions, opening receptions, small-scale live radio broadcasts, and cultural events…
